Hello. My name is Gregory Round. I am a Brisbane artist. Below you will find works of art that took more than their seven creation days to make. They represent a life-time of artistic development in mind and soul.
I believe in living my creations. Art for me is not just standing in front of an easel. Art is every moment of ones life. Conscious and otherwise. I present to you drawings that I call dry paintings. The process is only one factor in their development.
Actually being able to read them, will allow you to transcend from your physical world, into a place determined by your abilities, to comprhend just how important it is to acknowledge your own spiritual existence.
Being lucky enough to sit in front of any one of these spitiual renditions, will give you peace and a deep understanding of not only who I am, but your self as well. After all, we are all similar wounds, delivering reflections of our own existance.
When drawing from photographs: I find no difference drawing from a photograph and drawing a person live in a street or studio. Photographs are a faxcimilie of reality. My drawings are high art reflections of that same reality.
Often with added emotional or cultural textures that only I can see, until, I expose them in the finished artwork, that hopefully, you will also see.
